Bishop Gilbert L. Robinson
November 19, 2017 – Present
Mission Statement: To Go and Grow
Fulfilling the Great Commission

Isaiah 58:12 "….. thou shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shall be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in."
Bishop Robinson is a native of Richmond Virginia. He grew up being the second oldest among four siblings. He was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ and received the Gift of the Holy Spirit at an early age. It seems that although “Gilbert’ was young and playful he had a heart and a mind for the things of God. His desire of serving God and becoming a lifetime student of the Word of God has kept Bishop Robinson grounded in godliness, even until this present time of his life.
Our Overseer
Bishop Robinson was elected as Overseer of the Sabbath Apostolic Pentecostal Assemblies on November 19, 2017. His vision for the people of God is geared towards working closely with the God-ordained Pastors to draw the Sabbath Apostolic body closer in unity, fellowship and in expansion while maintaining the Church based upon the Word of God.
Chosen to lead means chosen to serve. He served faithfully under the ministry of the late Bishop Willie G. Suggs for many years. A dependable servant fulfilling whatever task his hands found to do in the House of God. Whether in the position of Brother, Deacon, Minister, Elder, he never turned down an opportunity that allowed him to dutifully serve God’s people. From van driver, musician, bible study teacher, choir director, musician, or baptizer, he always finds joy. Although he may not have known all that God had in store for his future, Bishop adamantly believes that one who is chosen to lead means one must first serve. Knowing today, he is but a servant called to Shepherd.
He has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and attended the Evans Smith Leadership Program at Virginia Union University. Bishop is continuing to educate himself in the word and biblical studies. Most significantly he has been a lifetime student of the Word of God.
Bishop is the Son of the late Joseph M. Robinson, Sr. & Linda M. Robinson. He is married to the lovely Lady Lisa Robinson . They have been married for thirty-one years and to their union, they have four wonderful children, and a beautiful daughter and son-in-love who assist to promote the work of the Lord.
Motto: Let Christ be glorified, God is my help, for God shall perform His purpose within me, that was first ordained and spoken by God the Father. Amen!
